Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man at 17100 Quail Park Drive about 4:45 p.m. on May 10.
The suspect, Jevion Pierre (b/m, 19), is charged by the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 240th District Court.
A 2017 photo of Pierre is attached to this news release.
The victim, Antoine Murray, 18, was transported to an area hospital where doctors said he is expected to survive his injuries.
HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers A. Le and J. Russell reported:
Mr. Murray was meeting family members getting off a school bus at the above address when a fight - escalating among other individuals and his family in recent days - broke out. When Murray attempted to defend his family members, a suspect approached from down the street and shot Murray in the stomach. The unknown suspect then fled the scene. Paramedics arrived and transported Murray to the hospital.
Further investigation identified Jevion Pierre as the suspect in this case. Last Friday (June 8), a Fort Bend County grand jury true-billed charges on Pierre and he is now formally charged.
