Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 7250 Avenue C about 9 p.m. on June 18.
The suspect, Anthony Campos Galvan Jr., 29, is charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court. A 2022 booking photo of Campos Galvan, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.
He is accused in the killing of Nestor Saldana, 30.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Davis and D. Lunceford reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in the parking lot of an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim, later identified as Saldana, with a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced him deceased.
A preliminary investigation indicated an argument in the pool area of the complex led to the shooting.
Further investigation identified Campos Galvan as the suspect in this case. He was subsequently charged on July 12.
