Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man found at 6415 West Lake Houston Parkway about 5:40 p.m. on May 8.

The suspect, Elijah J. Hood, 24, is charged with murder in the 337th State District Court.  He is accused in the death of Larry Bob, 72.

A Denver Police Department booking photo of Hood, who is in custody in Denver, Colorado, is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Clark and M. Nicotra reported:

Officers were dispatched to a welfare check call to an apartment at the above address after family members had not heard from Mr. Bob since he met with a suspicious person earlier in the day.  Officers arrived and found Bob in his apartment.  He had suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Bob was visiting with family earlier in the morning when he abruptly left the gathering and went to meet another person at another location.  At that time, there was no description on that person.

On May 9, Elijah Hood was taken into custody in Denver, Colorado following a separate triple homicide investigation by the Denver Police Department.  Further investigation identified Hood as a suspect in Bob’s death.  A murder charge was filed and Hood was subsequently charged for his role in the incident.
