Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a male at 11223 Sandstone Street that occurred about 8:50 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 9).
Fidel Macedo (H/m, 40) is charged with murder in the 180th State District Court. A photo of Macedo is attached to this news release.
He is accused in the death of Fidelmar Macedo, 60.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Collier and R. Waterwall reported:
Officers were flagged down by witnesses who alerted them to a disturbance at a nearby address. When officers arrived to the home at the above address, they found Mr. Macedo unresponsive on the sidewalk. He had suffered a wound to his torso. Paramedics pronounced Macedo deceased at the scene.
Further investigation determined Fidel Macedo was responsible for the death of his father, Fidelmar Macedo. Last Friday (Oct. 15) Fidel Macedo was arrested without incident.
At the time of his arrest, Fidel Macedo was also wanted for his involvement in additional unrelated murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon incidents.
