UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 5600 Richmond Avenue

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a male that occurred at 5600 Richmond Avenue about 11:25 p.m. on August 2.

The male suspect, 16, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on a charge of murder.  Juvenile suspect information is not releasable.

The victim is identified as Ledarrius Price, 30.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Condon and J. Brown reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a bar at the above address and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot.  Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim, alter identified as Mr. Price, deceased at the scene.

Further investigation revealed Price was sitting inside the driver’s seat of a vehicle when an unknown suspect ran up to the vehicle and shot multiple times into the vehicle.  The suspect then fled on foot eastbound on Richmond.

Further investigation identified the juvenile as the suspect in this case.  He was arrested on Monday (September 25) without incident and admitted to investigators his role in the shooting.  .
