Houston police have released surveillance video of a suspect and suspect vehicle involved in the fatal shooting of a man at 7911 Matson Street that occurred about 7:10 p.m. on July 30.
The victim, Ronald Green, Jr., 33, was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers L. Thornton and J. Kimbrough and HPD Homicide Division Detective M. Barrow, Jr. reported:
Surveillance videos shows the suspect vehicle, described as a red four-door Chevrolet sedan, drive by Mr. Green’s house prior to his arrival. The video then shows Green had just returned home and was parked in his driveway when the unknown suspects came back. The Chevrolet’s passenger, described only as a thin black male dressed in black, exited the vehicle armed with an assault rifle and fired multiple shots into Green’s vehicle. The suspect then got into the rear passenger seat and the suspects fled the scene.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported Green to the hospital.
