Mr. Brown was last seen about noon on January 25. After not having had contact with him, Brown’s family went to the HPD South Central Police Station and filed a missing persons report on January 27.
The HPD Missing Persons Unit opened an investigation into the case and exhausted all leads. Believing foul play may have been involved, HPD homicide detectives opened an investigation into Brown’s disappearance.

Further investigation identified Tellis as the suspect in this case and evidence was discovered that linked him to Brown’s death and the disposal of his body. Tellis was taken into custody on Tuesday (February 15) and admitted to investigators his involvement in Brown’s death. At that time, Brown’s body has not been located.
While conducting a search for Brown’s body today (February 18), homicide investigators located human remains in a wooded area near T.C. Jester Boulevard and Pinemont Drive
