HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the 4400 block of Bell Street and heard another gunshot. The officers observed a vehicle partially propped up on the curb at 4402 Bell Street.  The vehicle was still running, but was stopped by a hill and a large tree. Officers observed the driver suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

Officers located Vasquez and the juvenile hiding under cars near the scene and took them into custody. Investigators learned one of the suspects was in a verbal altercation with the victim that escalated with shots being fired.  The victim was struck and robbed.
