He was transported to an area hospital and found to have a gunshot wound to the thigh. Officers also responded to a call regarding a juvenile with a gunshot wound transported by private vehicle to an area hospital. Both were linked to the shooting at Calhoun.
A preliminary investigation determined two witnesses went to an apartment complex at the above address to visit the juvenile and he, along with another unknown friend, were inside the witnesses’ vehicle. The witnesses then drove the victim to the hospital. The suspects fled the scene.
Further investigation and evidence from the scene identified Davion Holmes, initially believed to be a victim, and Larry Holmes, to have been involved in the incident. Both suspects remain at-large.
