Suspects Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 9851 Meadowglen Lane

Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the shooting of a man at 9851 Meadowglen Lane about 1:05 a.m. on January 2.

One suspect, Adrian Marks, 17, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor unlawful carrying of a weapon in the 177th State District Court and Harris County Criminal Court #14, respectively.

The second suspect, a juvenile male, 15, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor unlawful carrying of a weapon charges. Photos and names of juvenile suspects are not available for release.

The victim, Keron Edwards, 18, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and is expected to survive.

HPD Major Assaults and Family Violence Division Detectives I. Rios-Hernandez & D. Crandall reported:

HPD patrol officers were dispatched to a person down call at an apartment complex at the above address and found Mr. Edwards suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers learned Edwards was shot multiple times while walking home in the apartment complex parking lot. He then ran home, where his parents called 911. Paramedics transported Edwards to a local hospital.

Further investigation identified Marks and the juvenile male as suspects in this case. They were subsequently arrested and charged for their roles in the incident.
