Suspect Sought in December 2022 Stabbing at 4400 Sherwood Lane

Houston police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in the stabbing of a man at 4400 Sherwood Lane about 9:40 p.m. on December 25, 2022.

The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male, possible 19 years of age.  Photos of the unidentified suspect are attached to this news release.

The victim, Esahu Guerra, 46, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective O. Tapia reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing at an apartment complex at the above address and met with Mr. Guerra, who stated he had been stabbed.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Guerra to the hospital.

A preliminary investigation indicated the suspect had stabbed Guerra multiple times and then fled the scene in an unknown direction.  Subsequent investigation developed information on a possible suspect, pictured below.
