Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 8900 Glencrest Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man found at 8900 Glencrest Street #7275 about 11:25 a.m. on Tuesday (December 24).

The suspect, Christopher James White (b/m, 25), was charged later that day with aggravated assault of a family member in the 179th State District Court.  A previous photo of White is attached to this news release.  He is not in custody.

The victim, James Andre White, 48, suffered a gunshot wound to the head.  He was transported to an area hospital where, on Wednesday (December 25), he was pronounced deceased.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at an apartment at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found Mr. James White suffering from a gunshot wound.  A witness attending to Mr. White told officers that White’s son, Christopher, had shot his father during an argument.

Christopher White fled the scene prior to the arrival of the officers.  He was subsequently charged in this case and remains wanted at this time.
