Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of a juvenile male that occurred at 4045 West Bellfort Avenue about 9:25 p.m. on Tuesday (December 24).
The identity of the deceased victim, 45, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The juvenile, 13, was transported to an area hospital with what is believed to be a non-life-threatening wound.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Sturdivant and Detective D. Nabors reported:
HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a reported shooting at an apartment at the above address. Upon arrival, they found the adult male had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim (juvenile) was found with a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to the hospital.
There is no known suspect(s) or motive in the incident at this time.
