Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 4250 West 34th Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 4250 West 34th Street that occurred about 11:15 a.m. on Sunday (August 22).

The suspect, Gregory Johnson (b/m, 18), is charged with murder in the 337th State District Court.  He is not in custody.  A 2021 booking photo of Johnson is attached to this news release.

He is accused in the death of his brother, Damarion McKeever, 21.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective N. Sharp reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in an apartment at the above address and found Mr. McKeever deceased from a gunshot wound.  Witnesses and family members stated they observed Johnson shoot McKeever during a dispute and then flee the scene on foot.
