Suspect Arrested, Charged in Woman’s Death at 5212 Airline Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a woman found at 5212 Airline Drive about 6:10 p.m. last Wednesday (November 27).

The suspect, Myron Lynn Strambler, 36, is charged with murder in the 230th State District Court.  A booking photo of Strambler is attached to this news release.

He is accused for his role in the killing of Alicia Strambler, 34.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives  R. Waterwall and C. Vaughn reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to an assault-in progress call at a motel at the above address and. as they approached the motel room, saw a male (Myron Strambler) sitting outside.  The male told officers his wife was inside the room and needed medical assistance.  Officers entered the room and found it to be in disarray.  Officers then found an unresponsive woman lying on the restroom floor.  She appeared to have suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the woman, later identified as Ms. Strambler, deceased.  The male was detained and transported to 1200 Travis Street to speak with homicide detectives.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Strambler was subsequently charged in his wife’s death.  Strambler was then transported to the Harris County Jail.
