Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 12360 Richmond Avenue

Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal stabbing of a woman and child found at 12360 Richmond Avenue about 3:10 a.m. on Friday (Nov. 29).

The suspect, Kendrick Rayvon Fisher, 29, is charged with capital murder in the 209th State District Court. A booking photo of Fisher is attached to this news release.

The identities of the deceased female victims – 28 and 2 years of age – are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Arrington and Officers K. Clark and M. Nicotra reported:

Officers were flagged down by a citizen who stated an adult female and child were being held hostage within an apartment. The citizen was concerned for their safety and told officers a male (suspect Fisher) was inside the apartment.

Officers went to the apartment where they found Fisher asleep on the couch. Officers then conducted a safety sweep of the apartment and found the adult female and child inside the apartment. Both had suffered multiple stab wounds and responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced them deceased at the scene.

Upon detaining Fisher, officers observed he had injuries consistent with a physical altercation, as well as blood on his clothing. Fisher was questioned by HPD homicide detectives and, after consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, he was charged with capital murder and booked into the Harris County Jail.
