| Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 2151 South Kirkwood Road about 6:55 p.m. last Friday (June 23).
The suspect, Sharde Renee Reed, 32, is charged with aggravated assault-family member in the 263rd State District Court.
The male victim, 35, was transported to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective C. Grahmann reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and determined the victim and suspect Reed got into an altercation, which resulted in the victim being shot. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
Reed told officers she was tired of being assaulted by the victim so she shot him.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted and Reed was subsequently charged for her role in the incident.
