Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a woman at 6366 New York Street about 11:05 a.m. on Wednesday (August 9).
The suspect, Michael Anthony Wilson, 65, is charged with murder in the 262nd State District Court. A booking photo of Wilson is attached to this news release.
The identity of the deceased woman, 36, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective R. Lujan reported:
The victim arrived in the front yard of a friend’s residence, told her friend she had been stabbed and then collapsed. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced her deceased.
Further investigation, witness statements and evidence from the scene identified Wilson as the suspect in this case. Wilson was located a short time later and arrested. Wilson was subsequently charged for his role and booked into the Harris County Jail.
