Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 600 North Victory Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 600 North Victory Drive on Saturday (March 16).

The suspect, Terrance Short, 40, is charged with murder in the 488th State District Court.  A booking photo of Short is attached to this news release.

The identity of the deceased male, 43, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective J. Wallschlaeger reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim lying unresponsive in the median.  He had been shot multiple times.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the man to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation identified Short as the suspect in this case and he was subsequently arrested and charged for his role in the shooting.
