Charges have been filed against one suspect in the assault of one woman and the stabbing of two female suspects that occurred at 5454 West Gulfbank about 9:45 p.m. on Saturday (April 6).
The suspect, Gabrielle Symone Robertson (b/f, 26), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 351st State District Court. A booking photo of Robertson is not available for release at this time.
The victim, Ahmya Davis-Wright, 18, suffered blunt force trauma to her head and was transported to Houston Northwest Hospital in stable condition.
Robertson and another female suspect, who suffered stab wounds, were also transported to Houston Northwest Hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division reported Detectives C. Bowling and J. Roberts reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at the above address. Upon arrival, they learned several females had been fighting during which Ms. Davis-Wright had been injured and the suspects stabbed. Investigators then learned Davis-Wright had been beaten with a metal broom handle. When part of the broom handle broke off, Davis-Wright's mother used it to stab the two suspects in an effort to make them stop beating her daughter.
Further investigation identified Robertson as one of the suspects and she was subsequently charged for he role in the incident.
The investigation is continuing.
