Suspect Arrested, Charged in 2022 Shooting at 3105 Weslayan Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 3105 Weslayan Street about 11:45 p.m. on May 21, 2022.

The suspect, Jeffrey Duncan Hendrix, 36, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 351st State District Court. A booking photo of Hendrix is attached to this news release.

The male victim, 23, survived his injuries.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Sergeant V. Garcia and Detective C. Johnson reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the man to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.

Further investigation and evidence gathered identified Hendrix as the suspect in this case. He was subsequently charged on December 20 and arrested on Wednesday (Dec. 27) without incident.
