Houston police have released surveillance video of a female suspect wanted in the stabbing of one man at 4400 Bettis Drive about 10:55 a.m. on December 9 and an assault of another man at 4323 San Felipe Street about 2:20 p.m. on December 14.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic female in her early 40s.  She is about 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds.  The female has short black hair worn in a bun.

A surveillance photo of the suspect is attached to this news release.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective M. Bellahna reported:

On December 9, a male victim, 63, stated he was walking on Bettis Drive – in an alley way behind a business – when a female suspect armed with a knife approached him from behind and stabbed him in the face for no apparent reason.  The victim said the suspect walked away without saying anything.  Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital in stable condition.

On December 14, a male victim, 30, stated he was walking to his vehicle in the parking lot at 4323 San Felipe Street when he was struck on the right side of his head by a sharp object carried by a female suspect who approached him from behind.  The female walked away without saying anything.  The victim was treated at the scene for his injury.

Detectives obtained surveillance video of the female suspect  and, together with witness statements, determined it was the same suspect in both incidents.

Anyone with information on the identity of the wanted female is urged to contact the HPD Major Assaults Division at 713-308-8800 or speak anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
