Houston police have released surveillance video of a suspect and vehicle wanted in the shooting of a man at 801 Country Place Drive about 4:30 p.m. on December 10, 2023.
The suspect is described only as a possible Hispanic male wearing a gray hoodie. The wanted vehicle is an older model black Jeep SUV, possibly a Compass, with a dent in the driver’s side door. The surveillance video can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rhSSGnGKuE
The victim, 20, was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective K. Shaver reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call outside the apartment complex at the above address and observed the victim inside a vehicle crashed into a tree across from the complex. He had suffered a gunshot wound. The victim told detectives he was leaving the complex in his vehicle when he heard gunshots and noticed he was shot. He attempted to drive his vehicle and struck a tree. Paramedics were called and transported the victim to a hospital.
Witnesses reporting hearing gunshots and seeing a male suspect get out of the back passenger side door of a Jeep Compass and fire shots at the victim’s vehicle. The other suspect, driving the Jeep, was described only as a Hispanic male wearing a black hoodie. The suspects fled the scene northbound on Tully Street.
