Houston police have released surveillance photos of a suspect vehicle in the fatal shooting of a man at 4840 Airline Drive about 9:05 p.m. on Sunday (July 3).
The suspect vehicle is described as a two-tone Chevrolet Tahoe. It’s believed to be black on the top half and red on the lower half. The top half of the rear passenger taillight had a bulb that not illuminated. Surveillance photos of the wanted vehicle are attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim is is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Kauffman and J. Escobar reported:
HPD patrol officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a gas station at the above address and found the victim inside a vehicle. He had suffered a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the man to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him deceased.
Investigators believe the victim may have been involved in a possible road rage incident with the driver of the vehicle. The dispute likely led to the shooting at the gas station.
At this time, there is no known suspect description or motive.
