Houston police have released surveillance photos of a suspect and two persons of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 7302 Hurtgen Forest Road about 10 p.m. on Sunday (August 22).
The surveillance photos of the suspect and both persons of interest are attached to this news release. The persons of interest are not suspects at this time, but investigators believe they may have knowledge of what occurred.
The victim, Zachary Marquis McFarlin, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Hernandez and A. Ferrell reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a convenience store at the above address and found Mr. McFarlin lying unresponsive in the entrance to the store. The investigation revealed McFarlin walked out of the business into a small crowd of people. He was then immediately confronted by an unidentified suspect, who produced a pistol and began shooting. McFarlin was struck multiple times.
The suspect then fled the location on foot before getting into a 2015 brown (or golden metallic) Infinity Q50 with Texas license plates MHK5626. The vehicle was last seen driving on Doolittle Boulevard.
