WHAT: Structure fire.
WHEN: December 7, 2022 at 6:12 a.m.
WHERE: 2002 Kipling St. 77098.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $196,927 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators have determined the cause as incendiary.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke coming from a 1-story structure that appeared to be abandoned. The crews forced entry and ventilated the building. A primary search was conducted with no one found. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Firefighters from Stations 7, 16, 6, 8, 3 and 24 responded to this incident.
