INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $615,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $35,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within seven minutes to find fire coming from a gas line and a dumpster on the exterior of a 1-story grocery store. Crews entered and found smoke throughout the structure with no one inside. A small fire was found and extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause of the fire. HFD Hazmat and CenterPoint also respond to the scene. The nearby townhomes were evacuated as a precaution. A health inspector was also requested. Crews from stations 19, 6, 9, 15, 24 and Hazmat 22 responded to this incident.
