WHAT: Apartment Fire

CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke and fire coming from the third floor of a 3-story apartment building. They made entry and conducted a primary search. The third and second floors were evacuated, and crews quickly knocked the fire down with no extension into the attic or to the other apartment units. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause of origin of the fire. The apartment management and maintenance were on scene to assist the residents and the American Red Cross was requested for at least three units. HPD was requested for traffic control. Crews from Stations 60, 68, 69, 10, 2, 28, 83 and 57 responded to this incident.
