DAMAGE: $9,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (candle).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a small storage building near a 1-story home fully involved on fire. A strong wind was pushing the fire. Crews checked the home for extension and conducted a primary search. The fire was controlled, and the American Red Cross was requested to assist the resident who was living in the storage unit due to previous damage to the house. A candle had accidentally been knocked down, causing the storage unit to burn. Firefighters from Stations 34, 39 and 56 responded to this incident.
