WHAT: Residential Fire

DAMAGE: $225,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find heavy fire between two 1-story residences and extending into the attic space of each structure. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search of both units. The roofs were ventilated, and the fire was controlled. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the residents. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Crews from Stations 59, 82, 68, 48 and 80 responded to this incident.
