WHAT: House Fire

INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $363,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $12,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from a home and made an attack, exposing the concealed space in a column on the front porch. The fire as controlled and it was determined to be caused by a shorted light located on the column. A primary and secondary search were completed, and everyone was safely outside the home. Crews ventilated the home and completed salvage and overhaul. Firefighters from Stations 62, 11, 6, 15, 23, 31, 67 and 30 responded to this incident.
