WHAT: Recycling company fire.
WHEN: September 25, 2023, at 7:37 p.m.

CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (caused by recycling cars).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a large trash fire at a recycling center. Two ladder trucks were used to attack the fire from two directions. HFD hazardous materials and decontamination were requested. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. An inspector was notified and performed an inspection of the facility. No major violations were found. 58 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 33, 46, 23, 8, 21, 35, 37, 55, Hazmat 22 and Rehab 17.
