Office Complex Building Fire in The Spring Branch Central Area

WHAT: Office complex building fire.

WHEN: February 15, 2024, at 9:06 p.m.

WHERE: 1200 Blalock Rd. 77055.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.

PROPERTY SAVED: $2,158,000 in estimated property saved.

DAMAGE: $12,000 in estimated damage.

CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof of a 1-story office complex. Everyone had safely exited the businesses. After making it to the roof, crews found the complex was two buildings and fire was on the second structure. As they controlled the fire, doors were opened to check for extension. The fire was contained to the roof A/C and roofing material with no extension found in the occupancies. 37 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 2, 5, 28, 38, 49, 57, 60, 77 and the Village Fire Department.
