DAMAGE: $150,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find smoke coming from a 1-story night club in a strip center. They forced entry and made an offensive attack on a small fire in the entryway of the club. A primary search was completed, and crews checked for extension with none found. Fans were used to ventilate the smoke from the business and firefighters conducted salvage and overhaul. The owners stated they had recent electrical work done and it appeared that the electrical panel in the area of origin had been overloaded, starting the fire. 41 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 68, 83, 10, 51, 60, 73, 76 and 57.
