Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a woman found at 12830 Susanna Lane about 8:15 a.m. last Friday (Feb. 8).
The identity of the victim, 66, and her cause of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Murdock and Officer J. Young reported:
Officers were dispatched to a welfare check call at the residence at the above address. When they arrived, officers found the female victim unresponsive in the backyard of her residence. She had multiple dog bites on her arms, hands and face. Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced the woman deceased.
Witnesses stated the woman was not seen at her dog training classes for two days. Detectives located two full grown Doberman Pinchers inside her residence.
The investigation is continuing, pending results of the autopsy.
