Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man found at 15819 John F. Kennedy Boulevard about 6:25 p.m. on Thursday (April 1).
The victim, Robert Ramirez, 26, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers H. Martinez and M. De Leon reported:
Officers were dispatched to a drive-by shooting call outside a business at the above address and found Mr. Ramirez with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Paramedics transported Ramirez to the hospital.
It was learned Ramirez was driving westbound on Beltway 8 (service road) of the 5500 block of the North Sam Houston Parkway East when he observed a white sedan tailgating him. Ramirez stopped his vehicle in the median of the service road, right before the freeway entrance ramp. He then got out of his vehicle and walked toward the white sedan. At that time, the driver of the sedan shot Ramirez one time and fled the scene westbound on the North Sam Houston Parkway.
