| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 15101 El Camino Real about 4:50 p.m. on Thursday (April 1).
The identity of the female victim, 74, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Jewell and Officer J. Leon reported:
The victim was driving a white Subaru Outback westbound in the 1000 block of Montour Drive and came to a stop sign at the intersection of El Camino Real. The Subaru failed to yield the right-of-way leaving the stop sign and was struck by a black Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling northbound on El Camino Real. Both vehicles rolled over and came to a stop in the southbound lanes of El Camino Real.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The female driver of the Ford showed no signs of impairment and was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
