Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile male at 9601 West Montgomery Road about 11:25 p.m. on December 31.
The victim, 8, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective A. Graf II and Officer B. Godoy reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at an apartment at the above address and learned the victim was lying in bed when he was struck in one of his hands by a bullet that entered through an outside wall. It is unknown from where the gunfire originated.
Paramedics transported the child to a hospital for treatment.
