Houston police are investigating the shooting of two females at 7400 Wheatley Street about 10 p.m. on Monday (November 16).
A female, 14, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The juvenile’s mother, 36, was also transported to an area hospital where she was treated and released.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives J. Roberts and A. Ferrell reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a hospital check in north Houston. Upon arrival, they found both females suffering from gunshot wounds. The juvenile had been shot multiple times and her mother had been shot in the right ankle. Investigators subsequently learned the shooting occurred following a vehicle crash involving two suspects described only as unknown black males.
Two additional male juveniles, ages 14 and 16, were with the victims at the time of the shooting. They were unharmed.
