Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 6111 Wilcrest Drive that occurred about 4:10 a.m. today (March 22).
The victim, Cristian Espinoza, 31, was transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
HPD Major Assaults &Family Violence Division Detectives C. Bowling and A. Ferrell reported:
Mr. Espinoza was seen leaving a game room at the above address and speaking with an unidentified female. The two were then seen arguing with unknown suspects parked in front of a business at 6125 Wilcrest. The suspects then shot at Espinoza multiple times, striking him one time. Espinoza then fled the location on foot and collapsed at the intersection of Wilcrest and Harwin Drive. The suspects fled the location in an unknown direction.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported Espinoza to the hospital. The female was not injured.
