Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 4000 Ocee Street about 8:30 p.m. last Friday (Jan. 22).
The victim, Rigoberto Rosales, 23, sustained a grazing wound to his face.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer J. Kimbrough reported:
Mr. Rosales and a male family member were driving in separate vehicles southbound in the 9400 block of Westpark Drive when the family member got involved in a road rage incident with individuals in a silver Camaro and a brown Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. As the family member continued driving on Westpark Drive, the Camaro and Silverado entered a gas station parking lot at the above address. Rosales also drove into the parking lot and approached two of the individuals, a Hispanic male and a black female, to discuss the incident. The female was armed with a gun pointed at the ground. Rosales and the male then got into a physical altercation as Rosales’ family member drove into the parking lot.
The female then fired a shot at Rosales, with the bullet grazing Rosales in the jaw and cutting his lip. The male and female suspects then ran to their vehicles. The male driving the Silverado attempted to run over Rosales and the family member as he drove out of the parking lot. Neither man was struck.
Anyone with information on the wanted suspects in this case is urged to contact the HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division at 713-308-8800 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
