Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 11400 Martin Luther King Boulevard

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 11400 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 3:35 p.m. last Friday (Jan. 22).

The identity of the victim, 17, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective M. Nicotra reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call and observed paramedics in the median of the roadway at the above address, treating the victim for multiple gunshot wounds.  The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The early investigation indicates the victim was shot by one or more males seen driving by in a silver, four-door sedan that fled the scene northbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
