Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 16713 Truxton Street that occurred about 11:50 p.m. on Wednesday (December 9).
Daniel Santos, 27, was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers B. Godoy and B. Naughton reported:
Officers responded to a shooting at the above address where it was learned Mr. Santos had suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder and was transported to the hospital by private vehicle, where he was treated and released. Witnesses stated Santos attempted to stop a suspect from fleeing the scene of a crash where juveniles had been injured, when the suspect pulled a gun and shot Santos. The suspect then fled on food and was later arrested.
No charges in the shooting incident have ben filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
