Houston police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at 1406 West Gulf Bank Road about 6:20 a.m. on Monday (February 3).
A male victim, 47, suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Officer S. Mohajer reported:
Officers responded to a report of a drive-by shooting at a convenience store at the above address. A male, 17, stated he had an altercation with a suspect who left and then returned with a second suspect driving a red pickup truck. The first suspect threatened the victim with a gun and as the victim began to flee on foot, one of the suspects shot at him multiple times. The victim was not struck.
During the shooting incident, one bullet struck a Metro bus stopped at a red light at the intersection of Gulf Bank and Veterans Memorial. A male, 47, was a passenger in the bus when the bullet struck the glass window next to him and caused him to sustain minor cuts from the shattered glass.
