Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman and the assault of a man that occurred at 12010 Kuykendahl Road about 2:10 p.m. on Monday (January 27).
The female victim, Brianna Marie Bailey, 25, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The male victim, Xavier Jamal Spencer, 20, suffered minor injuries to the face.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer J. Rivera reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a motel at the above address. Upon arrival, they found the victims inside a room.
Mr. Spencer stated he heard his girlfriend, Ms. Bailey, and an unknown male suspect arguing inside the couple’s room. Spencer and the suspect began fighting. During a pause in the fight, the suspect produced a semi-automatic pistol and shot Bailey, before fleeing.
