| The shooting of a man at 1110 Stuart Street about 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday (August 26) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The wounded male, Jermyn Russell, 37, was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to survive his injury.
The male shooter, 41, was not injured in the incident.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers B. Godoy and A. Graf II reported:
Mr. Russell and another male (shooter) got into a verbal altercation that escalated when the male shot Russell in the leg. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Russell to the hospital. The male remained at the scene and provided a statement to investigators.
Investigators believe the shooter confronted Russell over stolen property.
