| Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 10155 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) service road that occurred about 5:25 a.m. on Wednesday (March 24).
The victim, Joshua J. Samuel, 30, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer B. Fowler reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in a motel room at the above address. Responding officers detained an adult female who admitted to shooting Mr. Samuel when he refused to let her leave the motel room. The female was questioned and released, pending further investigation.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
