Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 3575 Yellowstone Boulevard about noon on Wednesday (December 21).
The identity of the victim, 69, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Flora and J. Flores reported:
The victim was found unresponsive inside of a commercial building at the above address. He had been severely beaten. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased. According to the building owner, the victim had been living at the location. When the owner was unable to reach him, he went to the location and found the victim.
A preliminary investigation indicated the incident may have occurred about 10 a.m. and detectives believe the victim’s vehicle, described as a 1996 silver Dodge pickup truck, with Texas license plates JML1106, was stolen by the unknown suspect(s). A photo of the victim’s vehicle is attached to this news release.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have been in the area between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. for any information on the unknown suspect(s) or the whereabouts of the victim’s vehicle.
