The fatal stabbing of a man at 302 Rhode Island Street about 1:20 a.m. on Sunday (June 25) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male, in his 60s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective R. Lujan reported:Officers responded to a stabbing call at the residence at the above address and learned that two males got into a physical altercation that led to a stabbing. Both males were transported to the hospital where one of them was pronounced deceased. The other male, 65. was treated and released from the hospital. He was then transported to the HPD Homicide Division for questioning.
Detectives consulted with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and it was determined the incident would be referred to a grand jury. Anyone with additional information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600. JFC/VHS 6-26-23 Inc #090019423
