The fatal stabbing of a man at 1208 Gessner Road that occurred about 2:35 p.m. on Tuesday (May 24) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male, believed to be between 40 to 50 years old, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives E. Martinez and W. Dunn reported:
Officers responded to a report of an criminal mischief incident at the above location and upon arrival found Houston Fire Department paramedics treating a male for a stab wound. Officers learned an altercation led to an assault and resulted in the male being stabbed. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect remained at the scene and provided information to investigators.
After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, it was determined this case will be reviewed by a Harris County grand jury.
